The opening of Sonas is FAST approaching! We have a date!!! January first! HAPPY NEW YEARS!
Soon the fun will begin! We will have TWO species of characters available, and a full line of markings to create your own customs!
Now, there's been lots of hype about the lovely art and the ever fabulous owners -winks- though I'm sure many of you are curious as to how this game is actually played. So, here goes my cracked try at explaining the full throttle epicness that is SONAS!
Now, the lovely things that you create and play with are NOT your pets. They are each a 'character' to be put in situations and otherwise 'played' with! Now, these characters can own pets, which will be more available later on and MAY offer some special abilities when a well coded battle system is put in place. This however is is in the future! For now, we have an explore game where your chosen character can be challenged by many different things. Each challenge targets a certain stat that will help your character further in the game. You can collect items and turn them in or horde them, as well as earn 'slivers' (site points) which can enable you to buy pretty shinies through your character's journey.
Another area of intrigue you can put your characters through is Role Playing! There will be site run RPs as well as some special Non-Player-Character run ones as well, and eventually, even user run. This will not be your run of the mill forum RPs however. While there will be some rules all users will need to follow, each one comes with a different wold, theme, plot, and so on, making many idea available to many different characters!
There will also be chats for each 'area', though only one for now!
There will be two simple games we are hoping to be ready for alpha as well to help users earn 'slivers' and build your character's stats.
Along with creating customs, there is also a breeding aspect, though this is not the center of the site, it is something that is sure to be interesting! This will ensure that you don't HAVE to pay Sonas for a custom, but can help out your fellow users by buying and selling to each other!
Along with breeding and selling/buying characters, there will be items, magics, and many more things yet to be thought of to keep bartering alive on this fun, interactive, and creative game!
Now, here's a little teaser of some of the things Alpha members can expect. I would like to draw your attention to the bottom right corner. That animal is a 'Guardian ' and the first pet on Sonas. It will be given to PREMIUM Alpha accounts only, which will be available to purchase for 25$ usd. You will also receive other items and later perks down the line. However, we at Sonas know that not everyone is made of money, so, we are offering a 'basic' acct which will come with one Alpha item and some starter slivers. Both accounts will allow the buyer to choose an account ID between 26 and 99 (that's right, LIMITED slots!!!)
There is lots more to come and we hope that everyone can enjoy this game!!!
